May

MAY
This was quite an adventurous month for our family. Parker spent the first nine days in Singapore on business then home for six to head out for another seventeen to Australia. That was a first for our family. There were quite a few other firsts as well. Starting with....
Isabella's first pedicure. She started in the chair on her own and splashed half the water onto the floor. But when the lady came with those silver instruments to touch her feet. She ended up on mommy's lap to get her toes colored pink.

Hot pink, of course!

Parker's first artistic latte in Melbourne, AUS. He fell in love with a coffee shop that offered very creative caffeine liquid drinks.

Isabella has discovered corn on the cob and cannot get enough of it. Nana, my mom, has these great little corn holders from 1970's that come in handy for two year old hands.

Isabella's first picture with Minnie Mouse. My mom is next to her. Many people ask me how did Isabella get her blonde hair? Well, she has two blonde grammies with blue eyes.

Our first walk for the March of Dimes. I had never done a walk before pertaining to a cause. It was a beautiful day and I had to fight from racing all the other walkers. I'm so used to running a race, but it was a brilliant time.

Parker's first picture in front of the infamous Opera house. They are just entering into their winter while we stroll into our sunny summer.

Isabella's first wedding. She and her cousins and her friends ran down the center aisle with bells in hand saying, "Here comes the bride". Most of the girls either skipped or walked, but my girl ran like she was on fire then tripped in the front area near the stage. Dusted herself off and ran to mommy. It was a beautiful moment.

Parker's first trip to Singapore included the biggest shrimp in the world for dinner. He said it was quite tasty. Yum factor = 10!

My first 8 K. I can't believe I ran a five mile race. It was just a year ago that I did my first 5 K in 34:10 minutes. I finished in 46 minutes. What I love about running is the women that I run with. They are so inspiring and motivating. The best part is sharing the moment and celebrating with a latte.

Isabella's first chocolate lollipop from Boehm's Chocolates. She enjoyed it thoroughly, but when we went to Disneyland and got a real sucker. You know, the hard kind that you have to lick. She got so frustrated that it had to be taken away. So, my girl only likes lollipops that you can gnaw on.

Here's to a fantastic May!
