JUNE

....and then it was June. I don't know exactly how this month flew by so fast, but it did. This summer we have been making several trips to the Woodland Park Zoo. It has been a fantastic play date for Isabella and her friends. She is quite fond of the penguin exhibit which includes a wonderful water spray fountain at which she enjoys cheering for every time it goes off. She calls it the "penguin zoo" since they are the feature in her mind.

Well, we have finally reached 8 years of marriage and the funny thing is that WE STILL LOVE EACH OTHER! We spent two days celebrating our anniversary. Starting with a fabulous lunch at
Leschi then a much needed shopping trip followed by a 2 mile run. Then topped it off with a lovely dinner than included a warm berry tart with vanilla ice cream. We closed the night out by watching Valkyrie.

The second day was the actual anniversary and we enjoyed a lovely time at Medina Beach Park followed by a yummy
italian dinner. We like to call it our STAY-CATION. We stayed and had a vacation in our own city. As a parent, you forget the time when it was just the two of you. This anniversary reminded us how much fun we have together and what a treat not to have a set schedule.

Still in love. Still together. Still happy. Looking forward to the next several decades. Ah, sweet bliss.

The month would not be complete without celebrating DADDY'S DAY! We did brunch with the family to celebrate. Then we got home and my husband starting doing all kinds of chores like washing dishes, taking out the trash and preparing for the work week. I told him to relax. His response was, "Father's Day is the one day a year that I have to do chores and then I don't have to do anything the rest of the year." Cute, honey. Not true, but very cute. I love my man!
